Sitter Service Hourly Rates:

$32/hr. – 1 munchkin*
$33/hr. – 2 munchkins*
$34/hr. – 3 munchkins*
$35/hr. – 4 munchkins*
$36/hr. – 5 munchkins*

  • 4-hour consecutive minimum for all bookings, if you return home earlier than scheduled, a minimum of 4-hour period will be charged. Hours can not be split.
  • All payments are processed through your credit card + a 5.7 platform fee.
  • You are welcome to tip your sitters through your profile (…sitters also except cash or Venmo tips), if you feel they went above and beyond your expectations!

Overnight Sitter Rates

  • Night Nanny Rates: $35hr

Holiday Rates:

  • Sitter’s hourly x 1/2

Applicable Holidays:

New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Additional Fees & Policies

  • Rush Fee: + $40 for bookings made <12 hours before start time
  • Interview Fee: + $35 for in-person or video interviews with sitters
  • Specialty Care Fees: + $2/hr per child for:
    • Special needs care
    • Infants under 18 months or twins under 3 years
    • Caring for a sick child with a contagious illness
  • Travel Fees:
    • $10 for service outside San Diego County, NC; Temecula, Pala, Murrieta, Menifee, Lakeside, Ramona, Fallbrook, Valley Center

Time Change Policy
If you need to change the time of a scheduled sit, please contact Munchkin Minders. We will check with your sitter to confirm availability.

  • Changes with more than 12 hours’ notice: no additional charge
  • Changes with less than 12 hours’ notice: if the new start time is later than the original time, families are charged from the original start time

This policy is rooted in care and fairness. Our sitters dedicate time, rearrange schedules, and commit fully to your family. Last-minute changes can prevent them from accepting other work, so we ensure they are compensated accordingly. This protects both families and sitters, building a foundation of trust and respect.

Additional Children Policy
If more children are added than originally booked:

  • With more than 12 hours’ notice (prearranged with both Munchkin Minders & sitter): + $5/hr
  • With less than 12 hours’ notice: + $10/hr

Specialty Care Fees:

  • + $2/hr. per child for special needs care
  • + $2/hr. per child for infants under 18 months or twins under 3 years
  • + $2/hr. per child for caring for a sick child with a contagious illness

Additional Fees

  • +$10 for travel outside San Diego County, NC; Temecula, Pala, Murrieta, Menifee, Lakeside, Ramona, Fallbrook, and Valley Center
  • + $10 for travel outside Henderson County & Buncombe, NC, and Brevard
  • +$0.70 per mile if the sitter is required to transport children to/from activities

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and sometimes plans change. However, our sitters rely on these jobs for their income, and last-minute cancellations impact them significantly. These fees are non-negotiable.

  • Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice: $100 charge
  • Cancellations between 12-48 hours’ notice: $55 charge
  • Cancellations with more that 48 hours’ notice: $25.00

We feel for you when your kids are sick, and we know how hard that is as parents. However, our sitters count on this work to cover their living expenses, so we must uphold these policies to support both families and caregivers.

With this in mind, we kindly ask that you continue to book your sitters through Munchkin Minders rather than arranging direct bookings. Our sitters sign contracts, and so do our families, ensuring a professional and trustworthy environment for all. Families want honest, reliable sitters, sitters want respectful and supportive families, and we at Munchkin Minders work hard to build that trust and be a resource for both.
