Live-In Nanny
Live-in nannies provide general supervision and so much more. They work alongside parents, as a team and create an engaging environment. They ensure the children in their care are safe, healthy, and happy. The responsibilities of a live-in nanny will vary depending on the family, number and ages of the children in their care. Duties will include full care of the children such as feeding, light house cleaning related to the children, organizing fun, educational and age-appropriate activities, social play, and creative learning.
Live in nannies generally work between 26-50 hours per week depending on the family needs. They are required to have a set schedule and two consecutive days off per week.
Compensation varies and will depend on several factors such as the nanny’s experience, education level and your family needs. Current net rates for professional nannies are between $25–$35+ per hour. In addition, a private room is required for a live-in nanny.
Agency fee: 10%, 13% or 15% of nanny’s gross annual compensation
Temporary Nanny
A temporary nanny’s responsibilities will be similar to those of a part-time or full-time nanny and they can work either part- time or full-time hours. The responsibilities will vary based on the family’s needs. A temporary nanny can be used for 2-6 months.

Semester/After-School Nanny
A Semester/After School Nanny will have the same qualifications as a part time or full-time nanny. The responsibilities will vary based on the family’s needs but will generally include pick up from school, taking to after school activities, assistance with homework and may include meal prep.
A Semester/After School Nanny commits to a 1 school semester and hours are only during the afternoons after normal school hours. A typical schedule would be 2pm-6/7pm.

Summer Nanny
A Summer nanny can work part-time or full-time hours. They will work for the duration of the summer while your children are home from school.

Night/Newborn Nanny
A Night/Newborn Nanny will have newborn experience and likely hold certification as a Newborn Care Specialist. They will give nighttime feedings and can assist with sleep training.
A Night/Newborn nanny can be used for a maximum of four months. A typical schedule will be 9pm-6am or 10pm-7am.
The rate of pay will vary for each nanny and their level of experience, certifications, and the number of babies she is caring for (single, twins, triplets). The net amount is generally $30-$40+ per hour.

Household Manager
A household manager who is soley responsible for overseeing and governing the ins and outs of the household. Household managers have a set number of hours per day to come in and be on call to take tasks as needed – all depending on the needs of the employer and the home. Generally the household manager plays an important role in keeping the household running efficiently and effectivley. Some duties may include, tidying up the house, dishes, laundry, making appointments with contractors, running errands, watering plants, meal prep, etc. Each household’s needs are unique.
A household manage can work part-time or full-time hours, usually a minimum of 20 hours per week.
The rate of pay will vary for each unique position and their level of experience. Current net rates for professional Household Managers are between $55–$65+ per hour.
