Hi, my name is Danielle Podlesny. I started Munchkin Minders because of my love for children.

While on vacation in Hawaii with my family in 2005, we used a sitter service for our two boys. From that experience, I decided to create a similar service in San Diego, but make it "better". I wanted to provide high quality sitters and nannies, positive and attentive customer service and add all those little extras that make a big difference. That is when the idea of Munchkin Minders began.

I grew up in San Diego babysitting for my two brothers, two sisters and the neighborhood children. In my 20s I became a nanny for two families while going to college. I loved those children as my own and still keep in touch with the families. Now, as a mother of two boys and a previous nanny, I use that experience to create a service that is custom fit for families, sitters and nannies alike.

I married my husband, Greg, in 1991, soon after college. We lived aboard our sailboat and spent several years sailing along the Mexican coast. When we returned in 1998, we moved to Oceanside, settled down, bought a house, and started our family. Now we have two wonderful and very active little boys. Curren (now 8) is a very sweet natured athletic and artistic boy with a mechanical mind, and Zane (now 6) is smart, loves books and is full of life with a crazy sense of humor. Being a mom is all that I dreamed it would be and more. I LOVE being a mom!

Not only am I the creator of Munchkin Minders, but I am one of their clients. I think it is important to have quiet date nights with my husband and time to myself to keep me sane and my family strong.

As a mom, I wanted to create a place where families like mine, could go to find the kind of nanny I was. At Munchkin Minders we do just that! We have a great team of loving nannies and sitters that are ready and waiting to take care of your family's childcare needs.
